In an emotional message, Ronald Ssekiganda expressed his heartfelt love and gratitude in a farewell statement to his former club, SC Villa.
Reflecting on his journey with SC Villa, Ssekiganda noted that winning the 17th league title was his most cherished memory.
“Winning the 17th league title was a dream come true, and I will carry the pride of being part of such a historic team,” he stated.
He also emphasised that the support and passion associated with SC Villa will remain with him wherever he goes.
“It has been an honour to share the pitch with my teammates and to represent this prestigious club,” he added.
Ssekiganda expressed his appreciation for the club’s chairman, Hajji Omar Mandela, for creating a positive environment for players to excel.
“To the management led by President Hajji Omar Mandela, thank you for making my time at the club comfortable and for providing the best working conditions,” he said.
With a strong attachment to the record champions of the Uganda Premier League, Ssekiganda hopes to reunite with the club, which he regards as home.
“I wish Villa nothing but success in the future and hope that our paths may cross again one day,” he concluded.
Reports have linked the talented midfielder to Rwandan Giants APR, and it seems to be only a matter of time before his next destination is confirmed.
