Miracle Eaglets secured a dominant 71-52 victory against Nabisunsa in the National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday.
Miracle Eaglets concluded the regular campaign with a well-deserved victory to seal their slot in the playoffs.
The Miracle Eaglets came out of the blocks early opening a 13-point (22-09) lead at the end of the opening period.
Nabisunsa Girls put up a great fight in the second quarter but trailed by nine points (37-28) going into the halftime break.
Isabella Namugabo’s floating jumpshot concluded the third period as the Eaglets took a 13-point (57-44) lead into the final period.
In the final period, Nabisunsa were limited to only eight points as the Eaglets ran away with a dominant victory.
The Eaglets dominated on the boards, cleaning the glass with 53 rebounds, 12 more than Nabisunsa.
Winfred Akello (22 points), Martha Nandutu (15 points) and Mariam Namukwaya (10 points) led the Eaglets’ scoring chart.
On the other hand, Abifaith Musiimenta (11 points), Martha Bagaya (10 points), and Martha Yikuru (10 points) led Nabisunsa’s scoring chart.
