On requisition of the management, Gaddafi Football Club has now rebranded to Entebbe UPPC Football Club.
For starters UPPC are initials translated to; Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation.
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) granted the request in the affirmative.
“We are pleased to announce that FUFA has officially approved our request to change the club’s name from Gaddafi FC to Entebbe UPPC FC. This marks a new chapter in our journey as we proudly represent Entebbe and the Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation in all competitions” a club statement read.
Entebbe UPPC was attained promotion to the Uganda Premier League on Saturday, 21st June 2025.
This followed a 3-0 victory on the road away to Kataka at the Mbale city stadium.
Congolese born striker Jonathan Mbula, skipper Thomas Kakaire and Frank Kalanda were on target for Entebbe UPPC, then Gaddafi.
In total, they amassed a total of 50 points, same as third place Buhimba United Saints and two shy from the league champions Calvary.
The promoted three clubs directly replaced those demoted from the UPL; Solitlo Bright Stars, Wakiso Giants and Mbale Heroes.
Over the years, Entebbe has had a series of clubs in the Uganda Premier division since the early years of Uganda Airlines, State House, Manhatten, Entebbe Works to the later version in Entebbe FC, Entebbe United and Masavu.
Virtually, all those aforementioned clubs are now extinct with the exception of Entebbe FC (now in the third tier) has the impetus to lay the desired strong foundation with established structures to last the test of time.
Entebbe UPPC football club has since hired Abdallah Mubiru as head coach, working alongside Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, Godfrey Walusimbi, Swaibu Ssebagala (goalkeeping coach) and Edward Ssali.

The club has already embarked on the grueling pre-season at the Works playground although they will host their home matches at the Fisheries playground in Bugonga.
Last week, the club also held open trials from which former Soltilo Bright Stars and Proline left back Hakim Ssekitto among others were identified.
A couple of new players like Musitafa Mujjuzi, Hassan Ssenyonjo and Steven Munguchi have since been recruited.
The old guard retained has the stylish Samuel Kawawa Junior, Ahmed Amayo, Batibwe Okello, with three thirds of the players not considered after their employment contracts expired.
Football fans within Entebbe Municipality and along the Entebbe Road are definitely smiling broadly and laughing aloud.
