Uganda Cranes midfielder Taddeo Lwanga has returned to Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC.
Lwanga returns to the club he left six years ago to join Egyptian side Tanta FC.
Speaking to Vipers media, Lwanga revealed that he is delighted to return to the club and he is ready to compete.
“I’m proud to have signed for Vipers SC again,” the holding midfielder said.
“I want to compete, push for titles and contribute on and off the pitch. This is a full-circle moment for me and I’m grateful to come back to a place I call home,” he added.
Since leaving Vipers, Lwanga has played for clubs such as Tanta FC (Egypt), Simba SC (Tanzania), Arta Solar 7 (Djibouti), and APR FC (Rwanda).
Lwanga’s experience, leadership and winning mentality will be crucial as the club prepares for the great assignment of playing the CAF Champions League.
In the role of holding midfielder, Lwanga will face stiff competition from Marvin Youngman, Paul Mbowa and Frank Katongole.
