Uganda’s delegation has a total of 1,582 athletes from 66 Secondary Schools and 11 Primary Schools, including three Special Needs Education Schools (SNES). These schools will field a total of 124 teams across 22 disciplines.
FEASSA Games 2025
- Kakamega, Kenya (12th to 23rd August)
Chilly weather accompanied by rain welcomed the Ugandan delegation in the Kakamega County ahead of the 22nd edition for Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Associations (FEASSA) Games.
The delegation safely arrived in Western Kenya on Tuesday afternoon.
A fleet of buses and mini-coasters, led by the Kenyan Police cars brought the usually silent Kakamega to life with a procession.
All the boys are accommodated at the Masinde Muliiro University where the secretariat is also found and on the other hand, all the girls are at Musingu Girls School.
“After our flag-off in Kampala, the Uganda team traveled well to the Busia border post where we were cleared as a group before being received and led by the police cars to Kakamega. It is all well and we are ready for action,” Okot Bitak, a USSSA Executive Committee member remarked.
In Kampala, Uganda’s delegation was officially flagged off at the Lugogo Hockey Grounds by the General Secretary for the National Council of Sports (NCS) Dr. Bernard Patrick Ogwel

The perennial games as football, netball, volleyball, handball, basketball (3×3 and 5X5), athletics, hockey, rugby (7s and 15s), Goal ball, beach soccer, Table Tennis, Tennis, Badminton will be joined by chess and scrabble as debutants.
Lacrosse, beach volleyball, cricket and DanceSport are for demonstration.
Teams from the host country Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Ivory Coast will engage in competitive games for the next ten days.
