Interswitch Uganda has celebrated the success of its Jaguza ne Quickteller Campaign, recognizing top-performing agents and highlighting significant growth in digital financial transactions across the country.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, the Country General Manager, Moris Seguya commended Quickteller agents for their resilience and contribution to expanding financial access in Uganda.
“With over 20,000 Quickteller agents serving five regions across Uganda, our agents remain the backbone of our distribution network and the face of financial access in their communities,” said Seguya. “Your resilience and daily commitment power Quickteller.”

The Jaguza ne Quickteller Campaign was designed as a high-energy, performance-driven initiative to reward effort, consistency, and measurable impact among agents. Winners were recognized not only for their performance but also for their role in driving digital financial inclusion in their respective neighborhoods.

According to Interswitch Uganda, the campaign delivered strong, measurable results within a short period. New customers increased by 17.9%, while newly activated terminals grew by 21%, significantly expanding the company’s agent footprint nationwide. Transaction volumes rose by 16.9%, with transaction values surging by 25.6%.
The CGM noted a notable rise in customer onboarding across both urban and rural communities, with sustained transaction momentum even after the campaign ended, a sign of growing trust in the platform. “This tells us one thing: the platform is not just growing; it is gaining trust,” he said, thanking bank partners for their collaboration in expanding access to formal financial services, particularly in previously underserved communities.
Interswitch Uganda reaffirmed its commitment to enabling seamless, secure, and accessible digital payments for every Ugandan. The company announced plans to onboard more banks onto its Agency Banking platform, introduce enhanced tools to improve agent efficiency and earnings, and expand its reach into more communities nationwide.
“When you grow, we grow. When you succeed, Uganda’s digital economy strengthens. This is not the end of a campaign: it is momentum,” the CGM emphasized.
The ceremony, which brought together bank partners, media representatives, company leadership, and hundreds of agents who participated in the nationwide campaign, concluded with appreciation extended to media partners, bank collaborators, company staff, and the thousands of agents across the country who continue to support the growth of Uganda’s digital payments ecosystem.
