Rodgers Akampurira, a Makerere University Business School alumnus and enthusiastic marketing guru has landed a contract deal to transport over 5000 runners to the upcoming Rwenzori marathon slated for August 23rd, 2025.
The CEO of Uganda Special tours and travel specialist has been contracted to transport hundreds of prospective runners in the marathon that will be happening at the beautiful Rwenzori Mountain in Western Uganda.
Runners will be picked at Station Xpress (above Standard Chartered) at Forest Mall, Lugogo among other pick-up points. This opportunity will see the young travel specialist a few millions richer.
Rodgers started game-changing transport services in the travel and tourism industry after campus, an initiative that will employ over 100 youth at this year’s marathon. The company will employ drivers, guides, content creators and influencers to ensure that they deliver their best.
Prior starting Uganda Special tours, Rodgers worked with companies such as marbanji safaris ,nyqna sfaris , wedo safaries among others where he attained vast experience in the travel industry.
He is a former member of mubs socialial affairs committee, a political propagandist, an entertainer, and former mubs Muhozi project coordinator.
RWENZORI MARATHON
The Rwenzori marathon will feature a 42km race, 21km, 10km, and 5km race. Wiinners from all races will walk away with cash prizes. The start for the 21 km, 10 km and 5 km is in Kasese town center. The 42 km will start at the Equator.
