Vipers and NEC have learnt their Caf interclub opponents following a draw held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Saturday.
The Venoms, league and cup winners from last season will face Namibia’s African Stars in the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League with the winner facing either of Zambia’s Power Dynamos or Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas.
For NEC, playing on the continent for the first time, the opponent is Kenya’s Nairobi United, also strangers in the continental competition, in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Should they advance, they will face the winner between Sudan’s Al Ahli Madani vs Tunisia’s ES Sportive in the first round.
Preliminary round matches to be played between September 19–21 (first leg) and September 26–28 (second leg).
