The penultimate round of the 2025 Africa rally championship is underway in Burundi where two crews will go head-to-head for the championship points.
After a no show of the reigning champion Karan Patel and his Kenyan counterpart Nikhil Sachania, the fight for the points is between Uganda’s Yasin Nasser and Kenya’s Samman Vohra.
Nasser in a Ford Fiesta Rally2 currently leads the leaderboard with 86 points; only 15 points separate him from Vohra.
Yasin could claim the African crown if Vohra fails to finish on his first attempt at the Burundi terrain.
However, Vohra has proved his pace in the Skoda Fabia rally2. With victory in Rwanda, the Kenyan is in some fine form in the chase.
Yasin Nasser is on his third attempt at the ARC title while Vohra is on his first attempt.
The Burundi rally will run 15 stages with a competitive distance of 181.76kilometres.
