ISBAT University have secured the maiden victory of the 2025-26 University Football League campaign.
ISBAT secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory against Busitema University in the UFL encounter at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday.
Bahirah Katende (brance) and Allan Onekgui scored for ISBAT while Gerald Oola scored the consolation for Busitema University.
Mugisa Kahuma’s low strike bounced off the woodwork in the 38th minute after being set up by Daniel Akantambira.
Katende broke the deadlock in stellar fashion in the 41st minute after making a timely connection with Daniel Akatambira’s cross.
Katende doubled the lead at the hour mark after being set up by Brian Obai who equally had a great evening.
Allan Onekgiu made it three for the hosts after a solo effort from distance with seven minutes left on the clock.
Gerald Oola pulled back one for the visitors but it was too late to get anything positive for his side.
