Williams’ new Formula 1 car for the 2026 season has run for the first time. The team conducted a shakedown test of the FW48 at Silverstone today.
The car took to the track in a special pre-season testing livery. Williams presented its definitive 2026 livery earlier this week.
The team missed the first pre-season test which took place over five days at the Circuit de Catalunya last week.
Williams team principal James Vowles said the team’s absence from last week’s test was “painful”, but it was “a result of our determination to push the limits of performance under these new regulations for 2026.”
